At The Broken Plow, we believe in raising our goats with care, respect, and a commitment to quality over quantity. Our small herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats thrives on pasture-based nutrition, eating a diverse diet of grass, hay, and an abundance of tree limbs for natural forage. They also receive a small amount of grain at the milking stand for extra energy and balanced nutrition.
Because Nigerian Dwarfs produce some of the richest, most nutrient-dense goat milk, our milk has more than twice the fat of standard goat milk—a difference you can see, taste, and feel in its creamy texture and nourishing properties.
Unlike many dairy operations that require goats to kid every year to maintain production, we practice milking through, which means we allow our does to continue producing milk for multiple years without breeding them annually. This approach is gentler on their bodies, reducing stress and giving them a healthier, longer life. While this results in less overall milk from each goat, it also leads to even richer, creamier milk with an even higher concentration of fat and protein.
Whether you're looking for a digestive supplement for pets, an ingredient for crafting natural soaps, or a luxurious addition to homemade facial masks, our goat milk provides exceptional nutrition and versatility.
